RiskEase Master Edition
- Run Simulation and External links: One may get the message that this workbook contains links to external workbooks. RiskEase “Run Simulation” should be run without external links.External links may slow or even stall the simulation process. It is advised therefore to check, edit or even where it is safe, to break these external links before proceeding with “Run Simulation”. In the current version of RiskEase, a utility is provided under the RiskEase Utilities menu which can be used to update the formulas that employ invest.xla functions and switch them to the native RiskEase Master Edition ones.In this manner, one can eliminate the need for an external link to invest.xla.Note that in most cases, it should be easy to make these external references internal by opening the external workbook and by moving the linked sheets to the current user model workbook. This is done by right clicking on the external linked sheet and selecting “Move” from the on screen menu. You can open Edit links so that you can review these external references by selecting the Edit Links button. In any case, one is advised to allow the simulation to be completed before using the computer in any form, as even opening a window or another program while the simulation is still running, may set off an unpredictable behaviour.
- The functionality of using the Solver add-in to apply optimisation within simulation is disabled in RiskEase Master Edition. The feature may be added later on.
